The Winter Weekend of Wonder is an annual outdoor festival in the City of Kenora celebrating the season with activities and events for the whole family.
Kenora's winter festival will take place from February 28 to March 2, 2025. This three-day celebration is family friendly and a great way to get involved in all of the outdoor activities available in Northwestern Ontario. Past events during the festival include-Family ice fishing day, learn to curl event, a specialty farmers’ market, kid’s Super Skills skating obstacle course, and more!

On Sunday, March 2, you can enjoy many activities at Rabbit Lake and the Kenora Sportsplex.
- 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Skating, free ice bikes, fire pits, hot chocolate
- 10:00 a.m.. to 1:00 p.m. - Take-A-Kid Ice Fishing, pre-registration required, Rabbit Lake
- 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Snow Machine Sleigh Rides, provided by Sunset Trail Riders
- 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Super Skills Skating Obstacle Course, hosted by Skate Keewatin, Ages 5 to and 9 to 12, free to enter, all skaters must wear a helmet. Prizes to be won!
- 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. - Kenora Bed n' Bale Goat Visits, bring quarters for the critter snack machine and cameras for photo ops. Try out the fat bikes and kick sleds!
- 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. - Free Open Field and Lakelife PlayCentre Kenora Sportsplex. Children must be supervised at all times while on the turf and at the Playcentre. No food or beverages are allowed on the turf or in Playcentre. Indoor shoes must be worn on the turf and at the PlayCentre.
