If you are spending the day shopping, doing business and working downtown, or need to park where you launch or dock your boat, there are many parking options for you in the City of Kenora. Be sure to read the signs and check the pay machine for each parking lot or parking stall.
Day time lot parking |
You can park at the Anicinabe Park boat launch daily. It costs $5 per day. No overnight parking between 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Vehicles in excess of 6.7 m are permitted. |
Day time meter parking |
Parking spaces are available in the Harbourtown area where you can park from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Day time parking is free on Sundays and public holidays. FeeParking fees are set at a rate of $1.25 per hour. Pay at a "pay-by-plate" kiosk or at an individual meter in some locations. You can pay with quarters, $1 and $2 coins at the meters or kiosks, and by debit or credit card at the kiosks only. There are two parking lots with auto pay station ticket dispensers at McClellan Avenue near City Hall and Harbourfront South. This lot is available for day-use parking only. Long term parking |

Parking enforcement
Our By-law Enforcement Officers monitor parking meters, lots and boat launches daily to make sure we all have space available when we need it. They will check for valid permits and tickets, and expired meters.

Drop box |
Drop your payment in the drop box at the front entrance or at the cashier desk at City Hall. If you would like a receipt, please send the ticket along with your payment. |

Pay at the cashier with cash, debit, credit card or cheque at City Hall. Please bring your ticket with you. Note: Visa Debit is not accepted |

Avoid a ticket
When choosing to park your vehicle curbside on City streets, be sure to notice the signs in the area like:
- no parking
- tow-away zones
- time limits
- restricted zone
- one way streets
- community safety zones
- school bus loading zones
- snow removal signs
If there is no sign posted, the maximum parking limit is 48 hours. Parking on First Avenue South, Second Avenue South, and Seventh Street South is limited to 24 hours in the summer only.
