In order to have water and sewer services in your newly constructed house or building, you will need to request a service connection to the property from the City of Kenora.
New service connections
To request a new water and sewer connection, you must be the registered owner of the property to be serviced and you must set up water services account for this property.
Complete the water and sewer connection application and submit the processing fee of $70.00 to:

Application process
- The application is reviewed to ensure that frontage and connection fees have been paid.
- Within 10 days of submission, you will be contacted by the Water and Wastewater Manager or designate.
- You will be notified to pick up your water meter at the Operations Centre at 60 Fourteenth Street North.
- Arrange an inspection with the Water and Wastewater Manager before the installed services are buried. Inspections are available between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).
Your responsibilities
- Call OntarioOneCall to locate all buried services such as communications, natural gas, or electrical.
- You are responsible for any damages to City of Kenora property, including pavement restorations, sidewalks, or storm drainages and to adjacent properties caused by the installation of water and/or sewer services.
