You can help to keep our community clean by picking up roadside litter and debris through the City of Kenora clear bag program.
How the program works
1. Volunteer sign-up
Contact the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre to sign up the area, neighbourhood, or street you will be cleaning.
2. Get the tools
To help in your efforts in cleaning up public areas of the City, we provide basic tools for free:
- Program branded clear bags
- Picker (when in stock)
- Gloves (when in stock)
- Safe needle pick-up instructions from the Northwestern Health Unit
Pick up your package at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, 931 Lakeview Drive, Kenora.
3. When you are finished
Leave the clear bags on the side of the road. Because the bags are “City Branded”, our staff will recognize them at a glance and verify the contents.
You may also call the Transfer Station at 807-467-2980 to let us know where you have left full bags.
No bag tag is required.
Not accepted
• No hazardous waste
