Information technology managed service provider services

The City of Kenora (the “City”) seeks innovative proposals from interested parties for the following:

The provision of Information Technology Managed Service Provider Services for a period of five (5) years as more particularly set out and described in Schedule “A” to this RFP. (“the Work”).

If the City receives a proposal acceptable to it, the City will select one (1) or more parties who submitted a proposal (the “Proponents”) with whom the City, in its sole and unfettered discretion, will negotiate regarding the terms of a contract (the “Contract”) to perform the Work.

Proponents shall submit their Proposal in an envelope marked “City of Kenora Request for Proposal for IT MSP (the “Proposals”) 

on or before 11:00:00 a.m. CST/CDT on Thursday, December 19, 2024 (the “RFP Closing Time”)

to City of Kenora, 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON P9N 3X2, Attention: City Clerk, RE: IT MSP #CS-24-01

Alternatively, proposals may be submitted electronically to: hpihulak@kenora.ca on or before 11:00:00 a.m. CST/CDT on Thursday, December 19, 2024 (the “RFP Closing Time”). It is important to note that should the proposal be submitted electronically and not be received due to technical issues, the submission will not be accepted late. Confirmation of receipt of electronic submission will be provided by the receiver following receipt of submission to confirm receipt.

Proposals will be opened following the RFP Closing Time. No Proposal(s) submitted after the RFP Closing Time will be accepted.

Each Proponent may submit only one Proposal. Collusion between Proponents will be sufficient cause for the affected proposal(s) to be rejected outright by the City without further consideration.

Hourly equipment and truck rental

Sealed tenders for 2025 Hourly Equipment and Truck Rental (the “Project”) will be received by City of Kenora (the “City”) at 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON  P9N 3X2, Attention: Director Corporate Services.  

Time and date for Tender Closing is:

11:00:00 a.m. CST/CDT on December 5, 2024 (the “Tender Closing”) 

1. The work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to Work as Assigned with Trucks and equipment being equipped with the required accessories (gravel or rock box, snow boards, other attachments), (the “Work”).
2. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the work drawings and specifications for the Work shall be emailed to rwilcott@kenora.ca, however the bidder(s) acknowledge and agree that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry and that it is in the sole and unfettered discretion of the City to provide any written response to a written inquiry.  Telephone inquiries will not be replied to.
3. Submission of a tender by a Bidder gives the City the right to require the Bidder to execute the contract to perform the Work as set out within the tender documents. Tenders may not be withdrawn after the Tender Closing and will be irrevocable and open for acceptance by the City for a period of sixty (60) days following the end of the day of the Tender Closing. The Successful Bidder will be notified in writing of the award of the Tender when the City delivers a letter of intent to the Successful Bidder.

Municipal snow plowing

Sealed tenders for Call-Out Municipal Snow Plowing (the “Project”) will be received by City of Kenora (the “City”) at 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON  P9N 3X2, Attention: Director Corporate Services. 

Time and date for Tender Closing is:

11:00:00 a.m. CST/CDT on November 27, 2024 (the “Tender Closing”)

1. The work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to Plowing of Assigned Municipal Streets or Roads as assigned (the “Work”).
2. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the work drawings and specifications for the Work shall be emailed to rwilcott@kenora.ca, however the bidder(s) acknowledge and agree that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry and that it is in the sole and unfettered discretion of the City to provide any written response to a written inquiry.  Telephone inquiries will not be replied to.
3. Water treatment plant high and low lift pumps replacement design and management

The City of Kenora (the “City”) is seeking proposals in response to this RFP in relation to Consulting services for a Water Treatment Plant High and Low Lift Pumps Replacement Design and Management. Proposals will be received by City of Kenora, 1 Main Street South, Kenora, ON P9N 3X2, Attention: City Clerk, Re: Water Treatment Plant High and Low Lift Pumps Replacement Design and Management.

Time and date for the closing of the RFP is:

11:00:00 a.m. CST on December 05, 2024 (the “RFP Closing Date”)

1. The drawings and specifications for the Project can be obtained from publication portal of MERX under the name ‘Water Treatment Plant High and Low Lift Pumps Replacement Design and Management’. Deposits paid to obtain the drawings and specifications will be refunded to unsuccessful bidder(s) at the discretion of the City.
2. Proposals must be open for consideration for a period of sixty (60) days after the RFP Closing Date in order to allow for the City to evaluate the various proposals and to undertake the negotiations with the selected proponents.
3. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion.
4. All written inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the Request for Proposals shall be emailed to Daniel Mach, P.Eng., Project Engineer for Utilities dmach@kenora.ca; however, each proponent acknowledges and agrees that the City does not have an obligation to provide a response to any written inquiry. Telephone inquiries will not be replied to.
5. If the City, in its sole and unfettered discretion, determines that a written response to an inquiry is warranted, a written response will be prepared and distributed to all proponents who have requested a copy of the Request for Proposals and completed the acknowledgment form. Such written response(s) will be issued in the form of an addendum to the Request for Proposals and will be deemed to be part of the Request for Proposals.
