A new 5-year tourism and economic development strategy has been developed for the City of Kenora. The new strategy provides broad direction for tourism and economic development with goals and objections with specific tactics. The document is a guide for the use of Municipal Accommodation Tax funds into projects that promote tourism and economic development in our community.

The Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) is collected on the purchase of short-term accommodations in the City of Kenora. The MAT generates revenue shared with the Kenora Hospitality Alliance to promote local tourism and allocated toward economic development and tourism initiatives. |
Kenora Hospitality Alliance |
Kenora Hospitality Alliance (KHA) is a not-for-profit organization of local accommodation providers within the City of Kenora who support and promote events and tourism. |
