Mr. Gander graduated with degrees in Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Manitoba. He began his municipal career in 2001 with the City Kenora’s telephone company KMTS which was later purchased by Bell Aliant. During his time there, Mr. Gander had roles of Sales and Marketing Manager, Manager of Operations and Engineering, General Manager and the Director of the Bell Canada/Bell Aliant Relationship Division. Mr. Gander also has five years experience with the Advisory Division of the BDC as a Senior Client Partner where he helped businesses scale and increase profitability.
Megan Dokuchie, Economic Development Officer
Megan’s portfolio includes land development, housing, Community Improvement Plan program delivery and investment attraction activities. Megan graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and she holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Dalhousie University. With over 16 years of experience in community economic development working in both municipal and federal government, Megan is well positioned to assist you through all aspects of your development proposal. Megan is co-chair of the Regional Economic Development Group comprised of business and economic development professionals from across the Kenora and Rainy River Districts and is a board member of the Northern Ontario Angels.
Allyson Pele, Economic Development Officer
Allyson is thrilled to be working with local businesses to support retention and expansion opportunities. Previously, she was the Manager of the Northwest Business Centre for over nine years where she created initiatives and programming to foster the development and growth of new and existing businesses across the Kenora and Rainy River districts. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Royal University and is passionate about supporting business and community development. She sits on the Northwest Training and Adjustment Board and co-chairs the Regional Economic Development Group in the Kenora and Rainy River districts.
