The City of Kenora's Beaches, Parks and Trails Plan, and appendices, outlines ways to develop key recreational areas and facilities throughout the city to enhance the quality of life for residents and to attract new residents and visitors to our community. One of the main interests is to develop accessible parks, trails and beaches that all visitors and residents can enjoy.
Beaches and parks overview
The Plan looks at the following parks and beaches in the City of Kenora:
- Anicinabe Park
- Garrow Park
- Coney Island Park
- Beatty Park
- Portage Bay
- Keewatin Beach
- Norman Park
It assesses park infrastructure, identifies areas for improvement, develops new site plan drawings and provides cost estimates.
Trails overview
In this section of the plan, we find ways to help develop a trail network that connects to major destinations throughout Kenora. This will help promote health and fitness through active transportation, such as:

- walking
- running
- rollerblading
- kayaking
- canoeing
Methodology
To develop the Beaches, Parks and Trails Plan we worked with stakeholders, community organizations and members of the public who contributed to the plan through:
