Snow Removal First Street South, Second Street South, and River Drive
Back to SearchPlease be advised that snow removal operations will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as per the following schedule:
- Tuesday, February 11 – First Street South, from Eighth Avenue South to Tenth Avenue South
- Wednesday, February 12 to Friday, February 14 – Second Street South, from Park Street to Eighth Avenue South
- Wednesday, February 12 to Friday, February 14 – River Drive, from Eighth Avenue South to Highway 17 East
The work plan may be adjusted if there are weather changes or if emergencies and other snow event priorities develop.
Signs will be posted in the snow removal area to indicate ‘No Parking’ zones. Vehicles parked in a signed snow removal zone may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
As the City works to clear snow and ice from roads and sidewalks, snow may be left behind, creating windrows. While the operators do their best to prevent this, their priority is to clear the travelled portion of the road or sidewalk.
