Snow Removal and Road Closure, Amethyst Street and Area

Please be advised that snow removal operations will take place on Wednesday, December 18, on Amethyst Street from Valley Drive to Cambrian Drive, and all side streets, including Sandstone Place, Agate Bay, and Granite Court.

These roads will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The work plan may be adjusted if there are weather changes or if emergencies and other snow event priorities develop. 

Signs will be posted in the snow removal area to indicate ‘No Parking’ zones. Vehicles parked in a signed snow removal zone may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. 

As the City works to clear snow and ice from roads and sidewalks, snow may be left behind, creating windrows. While the operators do their best to prevent this, their priority is to clear the travelled portion of the road or sidewalk.
