With the changing temperatures and participation patterns, residents may notice runoff from snow or ice, or water pooling near their homes. To support residents with controlling excess water, the City is providing sandbags for residents to fill and take home as needed.
Sandbags can be picked up at Fire Hall Station One, 100 Fourteenth Street North. Sand is available to fill the bags at the stockpile on the North side of Fourteenth Street North, down from the Fire Hall, near the Operations Centre.
Also, if you see areas of flooding and frozen culverts, contact Customer Service at 807-467-2000 or submit a Request for Service at Kenora.ca and select ‘culverts’ from the list of issue types.
By reporting these issues, you can help us tackle water and ice flows before they damage roads, water mains, and other critical infrastructure.
Let's work together to prevent damage from ice and water by taking measures now to protect your property and City infrastructure.
