Please be advised a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued to all persons consuming water from the City of Kenora water distribution system from 470 Lakeview Drive and west, including homes and businesses in the following areas:
- Norman
- Keewatin
- Highway 17 West
- Darlington Drive
Residents and businesses are still being asked to minimize their water usage during this time. By reducing water consumption, you will assist our repair crews in their efforts to restore service as quickly as possible.
Due to repairs the safety of the drinking water cannot be guaranteed.
All water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute if it is used for human consumption.
Boiling removes harmful bacteria in the water that may cause illness. Once boiled the water can be stored in the refrigerator in a clean food-safe container and should be used for other activities where it may be ingested.
