Crews began installation of new streetscaping elements in the Harbourtown Centre over the weekend.
Over 100 new street pole banners will be erected throughout the downtown. The banners are reflective of the new City of Kenora tourism destination brand, accepted by Council in April 2022.
In addition to designing the new destination tourism brand, Wake Marketing has been engaged to deliver the banner initiative. The installation project is anticipated to be completed next week.
“This is a great way to celebrate and showcase the new tourism brand in the Harbourtown Centre,” says Mayor Daniel Reynard.
This project is supported by the Province of Ontario’s Rural Economic Development fund, the Harbourtown BIZ and the City of Kenora Municipal Accommodation Tax.
“We are very excited to see the new banners throughout the downtown and we are pleased to work with the City of Kenora on this beautification project,” said Rob Dokuchie, Harbourtown BIZ President.
