Back to SearchThe City is excited to announce the Lakeview Drive paving project. Work to install new asphalt surfacing between the Roundabout and the Hospital Bridge (Winnipeg River East Branch Bridge) will start Monday, May 13. The project includes periods of overnight work to complete the project quickly.
Here’s what you can expect:
- During the day, two-way traffic will slowly and safely continue through the construction zone.
- Overnight work from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., will see traffic reduced to one lane.
- The sidewalk will remain open, but dust and noisy conditions should be expected with equipment working nearby.
- McLeod Park will be open. You can access Husky the Muskie through only the walking underpass. Please do not cross the highway.
- You can still dock on the Harbourfront. Customers can continue to access the Lakeview Drive parking lot without interruption. But parking along the greenbelt will not be available during the construction.
