The City of Kenora has launched a business survey to understand local businesses’ operational atmosphere. The feedback and information from the survey will be used to plan future economic development activities.
The City wants to better understand the future plans and needs of local businesses and how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business. The survey will gather input about opportunities and challenges to identify patterns and themes that Kenora's business community faces. The top priorities of local businesses will guide future economic initiatives in the City of Kenora. The project started in August 2023 and is scheduled to last until October 2023 when all the survey results will be gathered and analyzed.
The City has retained Deloitte LLP, to assist with the project. Deloitte will be working with municipal staff to conduct the survey including random participant selection. Deloitte will contact local businesses between August 30th and September 27th via phone or email.
“We are excited about launching the Business Expansion and Retention program in Kenora. This process will provide valuable perspectives of local businesses and clarify needs, obstacles, and opportunities. Businesses, I encourage you to participate in the program when called upon. As champions for a vibrant and prosperous community, your contribution and feedback are important,” Mayor Andrew Poirier states.
If you are an existing business, please provide your business name email and phone number to Allyson Pele to ensure you are on the contact list.
