Library Membership
Who Can Join
A library card is available to any resident, seasonal resident, or visitor of the City of Kenora. A free membership is available to those who own or live at property located within City of Kenora limits. Residents and seasonal residents who own property outside of City of Kenora limits, or visitors to the city have a few options when it comes to purchasing a membership.
Memberships for those who live or own property within the City of Kenora limits require no upfront cost as a portion of municipal taxes are redirected to help fund the Kenora Public Library. Property taxes from those who live in the surrounding areas outside the City of Kenora limits are paid to the Province of Ontario, and not to the City of Kenora, which is why there is a fee for these memberships.
