The City of Kenora recognizes that building an accessible community is important to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to lead a balanced and healthy life. In order to achieve this, we are committed to creating accessible programs and services while identifying and removing barrier to accessibility. We follow the regulations outlined by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Accessible Advisory Committee
The Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is an advisory body to Council focused on identifying, preventing, and removing barriers to accessibility and inclusion across the City of Kenora. Learn more about the committee membership, mandate and meetings.
Accessibility and inclusion in our parks
Recently, the AAC has actively worked to improve accessibility and inclusion in City parks to make sure that the magic of play is available for all ages. Check out the Accessible Lake Living video highlighting some of these features at Norman Park and Coney Island.
