Flags at Half-Mast to Honour Fire Captain Larry Cottam

City of Kenora flags are at half-mast in honour of retired Kenora Fire Captain Larry Cottam, who passed away on April 3, 2023.
Larry’s death is recognized as a Line of Duty Death which falls under provincial presumptive legislation. The flags will be flown at half-mast to recognize Larry's 34 years of service with Kenora Fire and Emergency Services. Larry retired in 2019.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Larry's family and our firefighters who served alongside him. Rest easy Captain Cottam.

The 2022 extraordinary flooding event was unlike any other for the City of Kenora in recent years.
