The Moncrief Construction Sports Centre offers a variety of fitness classes each month led by certified instructors held in either the Aerobics Room or the Rotary Room.
Group fitness registration
Purchase a membership if you plan to attend regularly. Call the front desk at 807-467-2087 to register for class sessions.
Key features of hybrid registration
You can now pre-register for fitness classes or drop in. This hybrid approach allows you to plan ahead, ensure your spot in class, or register for individual sessions on the day of class.
- Membership benefits
- Holders of 3-month, 6-month, or annual memberships can enjoy complimentary access to classes – it's included in your membership.
- If you have a 10 or 25 group fitness visit package, you can use your visits to attend classes.
- Drop-in options
- No membership, no problem. Join us on a drop-in basis for a small fee per class, or register at a reduced rate for the duration of the fitness program.
- Structured classes
- Registered participants benefit from structured classes, setting personal fitness goals and tracking improvements over each program.
Fitness schedule
Current fitness programs run for nine-weeks, from March 18 to May 20, 2024. Check the group fitness schedule for class options and changes to programming. Please note, there are no classes held on Statutory Holidays.

Candle light yin yoga with Nicole
Join us for a soothing candlelight yin yoga experience that will help you unwind and find inner peace. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice that targets the deeper connective tissues of the body such as ligaments, tendons and fascia. By holding passive poses for an extended period, you will release tension, increase flexibility all while calming the mind and reducing stress.

Chair Yoga is a form of Yoga specifically designed to be done while sitting in a chair. Yoga is an ancient practice that has been used for centuries to promote physical and mental well-being. As a result of age or injury, our ability to perform traditional yoga poses can become more difficult. Fortunately, chair yoga is a great way to reap the benefits of yoga without having to get down on the floor. Chair Yoga is a gentle and accessible way to improve overall well being.

Essentrics is a full body workout that engages every muscle through dynamic strengthening and lengthening exercises. Essentrics unlocks tight joints, develops lean muscle tone and improves posture for a balanced body. This is a low-impact class suitable for all ages and fitness levels combining standing, floor and barre work. Awaken every cell, muscle and joint and come away feeling energized, strong and pain free.
