  • Parking Tickets

    Please be advised that the City of Kenora does not issue parking tickets by email or text message. Valid City of Kenora parking tickets are only issued as yellow tickets and left on your vehicle. If you receive a text message or email about an outstanding parking matter, do not click any links or provide personal or payment information.

  • Portage Bay Bridge Repair Project Road Closure

    Please be advised that a section of Wharf Street and the Keewatin Wharf will be closed to all traffic beginning Saturday, October 25 at 7:00 a.m. to begin staging for the upcoming repairs to the Portage Bay Bridge.

  • Help Keep Our Community Warm, Donate to the Winter Warmth Drive

    The City of Kenora and Kenora Makwa Patrol are hosting a Winter Warmth Drive once again this fall. Donate your clean, gently used, warm clothing at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, 931 Lakeview Drive, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., seven days a week. We are closed on Tuesday, November 11.

  • City of Kenora wins 2025 Marketing Canada Award

    The Economic Development and Tourism Department of the City of Kenora is excited to announce that it has won a Marketing Canada Award. The Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) revealed the winners of the 2025 Marketing Canada awards at its annual conference hosted October 6 to 9, 2025 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

  • First Avenue South Between Sixth Street South and Seventh Street South Road Closure

    Please be advised that First Avenue South between Sixth Street South and Seventh Street South will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday, October 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for emergency manhole repairs.

  • First Avenue South at Matheson Street South Road Closure

    Please be advised that a section of First Avenue South at Matheson Street South for 60 meters will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. until Friday, October 24.

    You'll have a opportunity to meet board members and staff, and learn about the different services we offer!

  • City Supports Outdoor Winter Activities through Renewed Partnerships

    The City is proud to announce the renewal of two ten-year license agreements with Mount Evergreen Ski Club and Kenora Nordic and Biathlon Club. These agreements reaffirm the City’s dedication to outdoor recreation, four season tourism, active lifestyles and supporting local businesses.

  • Puzzle Swap

    Calling all Puzzle enthusiasts!! The Kenora Library will be holding a PUZZLE SWAP on Saturday, October 25th. 

    You do not need to have a library membership – all are welcome!

    Bring in your gently used puzzles and trade them in for some new-to-you ones!

    Guidelines:
     -  Please ensure that each puzzle is complete with no missing pieces and placed inside a Ziplock bag in the box.
     -  Puzzles to be a minimum of 300 pieces and gently used.
     -  Bring your puzzles anytime between October 10th and October 24th to receive your ticket in exchange. Your ticket becomes your currency!

    You may also bring puzzles on the day of the event. If you are unable to make it to the swap, but would like to donate puzzles, they can be dropped off at the Kenora Library until Friday, October 24th.

    Any items remaining at the end of the event will be held for our next puzzle swap or donated to charity.
