Kenora will soon experience a new flexible, affordable, on-demand microtransit service, The Wave, when it hits the road Tuesday, October 15.

City Unveils New Microtransit System

The City is excited to announce the launch of an improved transit service called "The Wave" on October 15, in partnership with service provider Via. This updated service aims to help residents and visitors seamlessly reach their desired destinations within the community.

What's Open, Closed This Civic Holiday

On the Civic Holiday, Monday, August 5, the following City facilities are open:
- Thistle Pavilion, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Muse Kenora is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All other City buildings and facilities are closed, including the Transfer Station and Recycle Depot, Kenora and Keewatin Public Libraries, City Hall, Moncrief Construction Sports Centre, and Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena.
There is no bus service on the holiday.

Fourteenth Avenue North Improvement Project

Please be advised that road and sidewalk improvements will begin on Fourteenth Avenue North on Monday, July 15, closing the road to all traffic and pedestrians.
The improvement work will be completed in two phases. The first phase takes place between Eighth Street North and Sixth Street North. The second phase will extend up to Ninth Street North. Detour routes will be in place.
Only local traffic will be permitted through the work site.
Sidewalks will be closed to pedestrians.
