Coney Island Floating Walkway Installation

Please be advised that the Coney Island floating walkway will be installed for the season on Thursday, November 21, 2024. 

This project's completion is subject to weather conditions, specifically wind gusts in the area. If installation is delayed due to weather, we expect to place the floating walkway on the next calm day.

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Third Street North Area

Please be advised that the water main repair impacting Third Street North, Fourth Street North, and Seventh Avenue North is complete and water service has been restored.

Third Street North, Fourth Street North, and Seventh Avenue North Water Services Interruption

Please be advised that there is a temporary water services interruption on Friday, November 8, 2024, for customers in the areas of the 400 block of Third Street North, 400 block of Fourth Street North, and 300 block of Seventh Avenue North. 

All residents affected received notice yesterday evening about the water service interruption. The interruption is to allow for a water main repair in the area. Detour routes will be in place. Local traffic will be permitted.

Remembrance Day Closures

November 11 is Remembrance Day across Canada. On this day, we honour those who bravely serve our country during conflict and peace times.

All City buildings and facilities are closed on Monday, November 11, for Remembrance Day.

Fourth Avenue South Road Closure

Please be advised that Fourth Avenue South between Second Street South and Third Street South will be closed for hydro pole work on Tuesday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The back lane to the east of Fourth Avenue South will remain open.
