Snow Removal First Street South, Second Street South, and River Drive

Please be advised that snow removal operations will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as per the following schedule:

• Tuesday, February 11 – First Street South, from Eighth Avenue South to Tenth Avenue South
• Wednesday, February 12 to Friday, February 14 – Second Street South, from Park Street to Eighth Avenue South
• Wednesday, February 12 to Friday, February 14 – River Drive, from Eighth Avenue South to Highway 17 East

Family Day Holiday Hours

On Monday, February 17, the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre is open from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for special skating and swimming for Family Day.

All other City buildings are closed, including the Transfer Station. Additionally, The Wave microtransit service does not operate on the holiday.

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Rescind Notice

Please be advised that the precautionary boil water advisory issued on February 3, 2025, has been rescinded for all persons consuming water from the City of Kenora water distribution system from the following locations: 

• Minnesota Street, address numbers 40, 30, 26, 22, 21, 19, 17, 15, 14, 13, 9, 8, 5, 2, 1;
• Pearson Street, address numbers 8, 16, 20, 28, 34, 42; 
• 931 Lakeview Drive, and 
• 5 Bay Road.

Please be advised a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued to all persons consuming water from the City of Kenora water distribution system from the following locations:

• Minnesota Street, address numbers 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 26, 30, 40;

• Pearson Street, address numbers 8, 16, 20, 28, 34, 42; 
• 931 Lakeview Drive; and 
• 5 Bay Road

Snow Removal Seventh Avenue South

Please be advised that snow removal operations will take place on Seventh Avenue South from Second Street South to Fifth Street South on Tuesday, February 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The work plan may be adjusted if there are weather changes or if emergencies and other snow event priorities develop. 

Signs will be posted in the snow removal area to indicate ‘No Parking’ zones.  Vehicles parked in a signed snow removal zone may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
