Mikado Avenue and Tenth Street North Project

Please be advised that on Monday, April 29, Titan Contractors (Kenora) Ltd. will begin completing surface, water and sewer infrastructure upgrades on Mikado Avenue, from Tenth Street North, and Tenth Street North from Mikado Avenue to Rupert Street. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2024.
The street and sidewalks will be closed during construction activities. See the map for the traffic detour plans.

Park Street Water and Sewer Upgrade Project

Please be advised that Titan Contractors (Kenora) Ltd. will be completing surface, water and sewer infrastructure upgrades on Park Street, from Tenth Avenue South to Maple Street, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2024.
The project's initial stage involves breaking rock on Park Street. Residents in the immediate area may experience loud noises.

Normal winter weather fluctuations in Northwestern Ontario create perfect conditions for spring pothole formation. Our Roads Division takes steps to quickly repair potholes. Potholes become much more prevalent during the spring due to the freeze/thaw cycle. Water seeps into cracks in the pavement, saturating the soil underneath. Keewatin Channel Bridge Assessment

Please be advised that Stantec will be conducting an assessment of the Keewatin Channel Bridge this week. The assessment is being done ahead of the steel coating project taking place later this year. The assessment work will occur beneath and on the sides of the bridge, where the Engineers will use rope access to check the bridge components.
There will be no impact on traffic or sidewalks during this time.
