Council Approves Key Improvements for Keewatin Public Library and Portage Bay Bridge

The City is pleased to announce that Council has approved budget spending for key infrastructure projects during this evening's Regular Meeting, including the roof replacement for the Keewatin Public Library and repairs to the Portage Bay Bridge.

The City of Kenora is excited to launch to the 2025 special event grant process as part of the Municipal Accommodation Tax program.
Interested organizers are encouraged to apply for funding support of up to $5,000 for events that will be hosted between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026.

The City of Kenora is excited to announce the appointment of Jon Taylor as the new Chief Building Official. Jon brings a wealth of experience as a carpenter and building inspector, having previously held the roles of Deputy Chief Building Official and Chief Building Official throughout Southern Ontario. Although most of his career has been spent in Southern Ontario, Kenora feels like home to him, reminding him of his roots in New Brunswick.
