Kenora Area Physician and Healthcare Professional Recruiting
We are at a historic juncture for Indigenous and Canadian relations in the Kenora area with all communities taking positive steps towards true partnership and “Reconciliation Through Health”. The Kenora Chiefs Advisory, Grand Council Treaty 3, the Kenora Metis Council, Animakee Wa Zhing #37 First Nation, the City of Kenora and the Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls have all agreed to the following resolution signed and witnessed in ceremony “That all parties agree to work together in partnership in the development of an All Nations Health Care System including the construction of an All Nations Hospital and Campus with the express purpose of improving health outcomes for all people of the region it serves”
The strongest communities are built with partnerships among community members and healthcare organizations. In the Kenora Area, the All Nations Health Partners was created with the intent to recruit and retain Physicians and Healthcare Professionals. Collaboration and partnership between the Kenora Chiefs Advisory, Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe’iyewigamig Health Access Centre, City of Kenora, Sunset Country Family Health Team and Lake of the Woods Health Science Campus fully support the position of recruitment and retention in our community. The All Nations Health Partners have begun the first phase of building the All Nations Hospital and are moving forward in planning the All Nations Health System.
