The City of Kenora Fire and Emergency Service is dispatched by Kenora Central Ambulance Communications Centre. With approximately 17,000 requests for service per year,  Kenora CACC provides dispatching for 33 Fire Departments, 14 Land Ambulance bases, 14 First Response Teams and Lake of the Woods Search and Rescue.

Our boundaries extend from the Manitoba border east to the village of English River on Highway 17 and, in the south, the U.S. border north to Hudson’s Bay.

The Communications Centre includes four workstations all equipped with the ARISII CAD, a Pantel Communications Console system and a Fleetnet Radio console.  Each dispatcher also has access to satellite radios and phones, as well as, back-up communications equipment.

Alongside contacting emergency service providers, it is important to ensure that you and your family are prepared in the event of an emergency. To learn how you can reduce your risk, please consult the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan website.

If either you or a relative have a disability, the Emergency Preparedness Guide for People with Disabilities/ Special Needs provides advice on how to develop a family emergency response plan and emergency survival kit to address those needs.
