Northwest Business Centre Calls for Starter Company Plus Applications

Starter Company Plus is a Government of Ontario funded program and delivered by the Northwest Business Centre designed to create sustainable jobs for its residents through entrepreneurship. If you’re starting, expanding or buying a small business, apply for training, mentoring and a grant through Starter Company Plus program. You will get one-on-one guidance, training to complete a business plan and the opportunity to apply for a $5,000 grant. If you are a driven individual with a unique business idea, over the age of 18, a resident of Ontario, and are not attending school, the Starter Company Plus program could be your first step to a new adventure.

Since the launch of Starter Company in 2014, 174 individuals have participated in comprehensive business training, 82 business were started, expanded or purchased and 135 jobs were created. 52 of those participants were awarded a $5,000 grant to assist with their business.

  • get one-on-one guidance from a Small Business Enterprise Centre advisor
  • participate in business workshops, seminars or networking events
  • talk to a mentor with experience in starting, expanding or buying a small business
  • apply for a grant of up to $5,000

Temporary Lane Closure Veterans Drive September 8, 2020

Public Notice

Please be advised a portion of Veterans Drive, between Fourteenth Street North and Regina Avenue, will be reduced to one lane with flagging beginning Tuesday, September 8 at 7 a.m. until further notice.

This closure is to allow Titan Contractors Ltd to carry out road construction.
