Traffic and Parking During Canada Summer Games Event

Please be advised during the Canada Summer Games rowing event from July 29 – August 4, 2017, there will be increased traffic to the Kenora Rowing Club and Rabbit Lake area, and as such it is important to remember no parking is permitted along Rabbit Lake Road nor on Birchwood Crescent. Event parking has been designated at the Kenora Sportsplex (former JM Arena) at 16 Bunny Street. Shuttle service will be available on race days. There is a drop off/pick up zone for those with mobility issues as accessible parking is very limited at the venue.

One Month Away – 2017 Canada Summer Games Rowing Venue Opens July 29

On July 29, 2017, the Official Rowing Venue for the 2017 Canada Summer Games opens at the Kenora rowing Club on Rabbit Lake. The regatta competition runs from July 29 through to August 4, with teams from across the Country competing in a variety of race disciplines. Volunteers Needed for 2017 Canada Summer Games

2017 Canada Summer Games has put out the call to find over 6,000 volunteers to help with the multi-sport event next summer. An application process has been set up through the 2017 Canada Summer Games website and there is also a volunteer recruitment video enticing people to help out.


Two Years Out – Kenora to Host 2017 Canada Summer Games Rowing Venue
