Please be advised that StreetScan will be in Kenora to conduct a Pavement Condition Index on City of Kenora roads beginning on Wednesday, September 13, for approximately one week.
The results of the Pavement Condition Index will be used for capital planning for repair, maintenance, and reconstruction of roads.
Expect to see the vehicle on local roads over the next week.

Lakeside Construction Works and Traffic Congestion

Please be advised that there are several construction works that are taking place in the Lakeside area that is causing significant traffic congestion.
Some of this roadwork was planned infrastructure upgrades that were scheduled to take place, and other areas such as the Safeway bridge (First Avenue South) closure is an emergency water main break that is taking significantly longer to repair than initially anticipated.

City Invites Youth Participation in Community Art Project

The City of Kenora, in partnership with Harbourtown BIZ, is excited to launch a new community youth art project to enhance Kenora’s Harbourtown Centre this winter.
The art project invites youth aged 18 and under to participate in designing winter-themed banners to decorate the street poles in the Harbourtown Centre. Coker Road, East of Kelly Road, Reopens

The City of Kenora is pleased to share that the repair work on Coker Road, East of Kelly Road, has been completed and the road is open.
Driver's will notice reduced speed signage requiring a maximum travel speed of 30 km/h.
Water levels in the area are still experiencing minor fluctuations.
The City's Engineering staff, supported by Stantec Engineering, will continue to monitor the road conditions into next summer.
