Water Dispensing Stations Changes

Please be advised changes are coming to the Smart Cards used at both the existing water dispensing stations: Rabbit Lake Road Water Station and Evergreen Water Station. Current water cards will need to be replaced on or after May 12, 2017. New Smart Cards will be issued at City Hall for a onetime fee of $25. For existing water card holders who have paid a $10.00 deposit on the old card, there is a one time fee of $15 for the new replacement card. New customers must purchase a water card at a cost of $25. The new water cards will be available for purchase at City Hall after May 12th.

The cost of water remains the same ($4.25 per cubic meter), it is only the water card and cost of the card that is changing. This change comes with the installation of new water dispensing units at both water dispensing stations. The installation will take place on May 11, 2017 and both of the water dispensing stations will be out of service for the day on May 11. With new units in place, it is anticipated the water service will be more reliable for our customers.

Questions about the water cards can be directed to a Customer Service Representative at City Hall, 467-2000. For water dispensing station issues, contact Ray Lindquist, Water and Wastewater Division Team Leader, 467-2149, or Biman Paudel, Water Wastewater Division Lead, 467-2296.
